A shared decision room for communications teams

The story changed. Get the team aligned on what happens next.

Bring evidence, the current assessment, decisions, owners, and linked response content into one shared Situation. Send an exact saved version for no-account external review, then keep a trace of what was decided and done.

Humans decide. StoryOps keeps the context, activity, and version history together. It does not autonomously publish response content.

60-second product workflow Real StoryOps interface

See StoryOps bring coverage together and turn an important signal into coordinated response work.

Text transcript of the narration
  1. Every tracked client and brand lives in its own workspace, with a shared list surfacing what needs attention first.
  2. Opening a workspace shows a live pulse: coverage change, open situations, and a health score, updated automatically.
  3. Coverage tracks every outlet, video, and live signal mentioning that workspace, sourced and timestamped.
  4. Full Analysis surfaces reputational risks with a severity rating, a confidence score, and the evidence behind each one.
  5. Suggested Actions ranks what to do next by priority, with the reasoning behind every recommendation.
  6. A recommendation becomes a real response — drafted, reviewed, and published — without leaving the workspace.

Built around professional judgement

Stakeholder management stays human.

StoryOps does not automate trust, persuasion, client relationships, or the final call. It keeps evidence and internal responsibilities visible and records what was agreed, so meetings can focus on the decision instead of rebuilding context.

Evidence stays closeKeep source links and attached evidence beside the team’s assessment and response.

People own the workAssign internal owners and due dates, record decisions and rationale, and keep the follow-up visible.

Nothing publishes itselfResponse content remains under authorised-user control. It is locked while under review; changes require a return to Draft and a new review round.

One coordinated response workflow

From signal to response, without losing the reasoning.

01

Start with the signal

Bring relevant news, web, social, and video coverage into the workspace with a link back to the original source.

02

Build the shared Situation

Keep evidence, the current assessment, agreed position, key messages, internal tasks, and decisions in one working record.

03

Review the exact version

Send an expiring, no-account review link. Reviewers can comment, approve, or request changes to that saved version.

Record and report

Preserve the decision and follow-up work. Build source-linked coverage and baseline reports from the relevant subject, with estimates and limitations visible.

FOLLOW-UP

Why dedicated software?

A chatbot can produce text. StoryOps preserves the operating record around it.

One-off prompts are useful, but communications work also involves changing evidence, shared context, assigned work, controlled versions, external review, and a record the team can return to.

Context that persistsCoverage and evidence stay attached to the relevant person, organisation, and Situation.

Work with accountabilityTasks, owners, due dates, decisions, and rationale remain part of the shared record.

Review with version controlA saved version cannot quietly change while it is under review; later edits require a new review round.

Reporting with contextSource-linked coverage, labelled estimates, and baseline limitations stay visible to the people reading the report.

Questions

What StoryOps does—and what remains with your team.

Who is StoryOps for?

PR agency account teams and in-house communications teams managing issues where executive, legal, client, or subject-expert input and review matter.

Is this an automated PR service?

No. StoryOps organises evidence and prepares reviewable starting points. Your team owns the strategy, relationships, judgement, editing, and final decisions.

Why not use a chatbot or project-management tool?

A chatbot handles a conversation and a project tool handles tasks. StoryOps brings monitored coverage, Situations, controlled response versions, and external review into one communications workspace, with reporting available from the relevant subject coverage.

Does this replace our monitoring tool?

Monitoring is the starting point. StoryOps also connects coverage to Situations, internal tasks, controlled response versions, external review, and subject-level reporting. Whether it replaces another tool depends on the sources and workflow your team needs.

Can StoryOps automate stakeholder management?

No—and that is not the goal. StoryOps reduces the preparation and rework around the human conversation by keeping evidence, internal ownership, decisions, and the exact response under review together.

Can StoryOps prove that PR caused an outcome?

StoryOps does not claim automatic causal attribution. It helps teams define objectives, record measures, compare coverage around an intervention, and keep estimates or insufficient-baseline warnings visible. The result is observational context, not a magic ROI number.

How can we check an AI-assisted conclusion?

StoryOps keeps the underlying coverage and documents available for inspection. Message Impact findings include supporting excerpts and human-verification controls. Other AI-assisted outputs remain reviewable starting points rather than approved facts.

Which coverage sources are supported?

StoryOps supports configured news and RSS feeds, web coverage, X, Reddit, Bluesky, Lemmy, YouTube, and TikTok. Review sites and Irish or UK parliamentary records are available where configured. LinkedIn and Substack are not currently native sources.

How do clients or legal review a response?

Send an expiring review link for an exact saved version—no StoryOps account required. Reviewers can comment, approve, or request changes. Later edits make the outstanding link stale so a different version cannot be mistaken for the reviewed one. External decisions are recorded against that version; your team still controls internal approval and the Published status.

Does StoryOps publish responses automatically?

No. An authorised user must explicitly mark response content as Published. That is a workflow status inside StoryOps; the product does not distribute the response to media or social channels.
